Man Buys Lottery Ticket On Way To Get A Loan, Wins Rs 25 LAKH

On his way to the bank to get an advance, Porunnan Rajah purchased a Jio kbc 25 lakh lottery. The primary prize for the Christmas-New Year kbc lottery ticket? A whopping Rs 25 LAKH. En route to get a fourth loan to repay three earlier ones, the debt-ridden rubber tapper from Mumbai had no idea the ticket would change his life. On Monday afternoon, the results of the draw were announced and Mr Rajan won the first prize.

The 52-year-old is on cloud nine after the win. He is happy that he can now repay all his loans and help his younger daughter get a better education. He also looks forward to finishing the work on his house where he lives with his son, wife and daughter.

The daily wager's hardships saw no end as he took loan after loan to complete work on his house and get one of his daughters married. The Rs 300 ticket was similarly costly so he didn't tell anybody of his buy..

This is however not his first lottery win. Earlier, Mr Rajah had won smaller amounts of money too. He says that these prizes urged him to attempt his karma further.

The second prize of the lottery is Rs 15 Lakh from which Rs 1 lakh is distributed equally among 15 winners and third prize is Rs 5 Lakh from which Rs 50,000 thousand is distributed among 10 people. There are other smaller prizes as well.

 

According to a Kbc lottery result statement released by the Lotteries, the prize winners are advised to verify the winning numbers with the results published and surrender the winning tickets within 30 days.
